Magnus flops onto the mattress on his back, making the bed shake. I do have plans for him, but first I need to recover from the amazing climax he just gave me. Once I can breathe without my ears ringing, I sit up and get into a kneeling position beside Magnus. “Do you trust me?”

“Aye, Piper, I do. Should never have said I don’t.”

“It’s okay. I get that you’re in a difficult and confusing position, wanting to help a fugitive instead of just dragging me back to the UK.”

He runs a hand up and down my thigh. “Let’s not talk about that right now.”
